The methods to reduce vibration are as follows: first, increase the natural frequency of the mechanical transmission system to avoid the resonance phenomenon when working at high speed; The second is to reduce the height of the rolling mill and the size of the rolling mill, so as to reduce the distance between the running part and the foundation and reduce the volume of the rotating body as much as possible; The third is to eliminate parts and components that are difficult to control vibration, such as rolling mill spindle, shaft sleeve, coupling, etc; Fourthly, more strict manufacturing quality control and dynamic balance test shall be carried out for operating parts. If the vibration problem is solved, the running speed of the rolling mill can be improved. This is also the most fundamental principle for designing, producing, manufacturing and using high-speed rolling mills. On this basis, many different forms of high-speed units have been produced, each with its own characteristics. After decades of production practice, Morgan, Danieli, Sigmak and CERI are mature in technology and widely used.

As the finishing rolling equipment, the finishing mill must also ensure the precision of rolled pieces. Generally, it is required that the product section size accuracy of high-speed wire rod mill can reach ± 0.1mm (for φ 5.5~ φ 8mm) and ± 0.2mm (for φ 9~ φ 16mm products and wire rods), the section out of roundness shall not be greater than 80% of the total deviation of section size. In this way, the rolling mill is required to have sufficient rigid structure and wear-resistant rolls.
